# /convert

Convert: Unwrap your WCOL balance back to USDC.

## What is WCOL?

Polymarket does not use USDC as the underlying collateral for all markets. Some older markets internally used **WCOL (Wrapped Collateral)** — a Polymarket-defined internal settlement token that needs to be unwrapped before it can be converted back to USDC.

If you have WCOL sitting in your account, your visible balance may be lower than expected. Converting it back to USDC will restore your full available funds.

## How to Convert

👉 Tap the **menu icon** at the bottom left of the bot to view all available commands, then tap **`/convert`** to unwrap your WCOL back to USDC.

## Is This Still Relevant?

This is a legacy issue. After Polymarket's **CLOB V2 upgrade**, all trading now uses **pUSD** as the standard collateral token — a standard ERC-20 token on Polygon, strictly backed 1:1 by USDC on-chain.

If you've only traded on Polymarket after the CLOB V2 update, you are unlikely to have any WCOL in your account. However, if you've been using Polymarket for a while, it's worth running `/convert` to check and clear any remaining WCOL balance.
